Guest Speaker
Ruth Greening- Precious metal Clay (PMC) artist

Ruth demonstrated the basics of using PMC. PMC is very versatile stuff. Ruth demonstrated several techniques and showed us several examples of items that could be made with PMC.

She demonstrated the use of a butane torch, the kind you use to brown the top of crème brulee. The torch can be used in place of a larger kiln. She fired a small pendant using the torch. (Pictures on the website) This demo received a lot of ooh’s and aahs. Cool stuff. She quenched it in cold water and then showed us how to finish the piece. Thanks you Ruth for a great demo.

Aquila Glass School will be offering classes with Ruth in the future. Contact don for dates and info. donb@aquilaartglass.com
